USPTU Deliver Online Course of Lectures on Electrical Engineering

On Monday, 29 March, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) informed its teaching staff from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Facilities of Enterprises, part of thе Institute of Digital Systems, Automation and Energy, had recorded a series of video lectures. These include the following courses: Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Industrial Electronics. Lecture materials are tailored to the needs of the oil & gas industry.

Expectedly, the lectures will be of interest to students of other universities, especially those offering programmes in oil & gas engineering. University members of the Nedra Consortium could be among them - notably, the National University of Oil and Gas "Gubkin University", Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute, and the Industrial University of Tyumen, reports USPTU's Press Office. The course covers exhaustively such topics as electric dehydration and desalting of oil, discusses various types of electrical heating.

The filming of the videos is over now. The recordings are currently going through the editing phase, final versions of which will be ready in May. They will be made available by the start of the second term of the academic year 2021/22.

Let us remind you that in January, USPTU presented the online Oil & Gas Education platform, with online courses in field-specific disciplines freely available. Users of the service can already choose amongst ten courses, including the following: Fundamentals of Oil & Gas Engineering, Oil & Gas Chemistry, Applied Mechanics. Material resistance, Materials Technology in Oil & Gas Engineering, Computer Modelling of Petrochemical Equipment, Economics and Management of Oil & Gas Production.
