East Mining Company Limited is the major coal producer in Sakhalin region with a full cycle of solid fuel extraction and shipment. 2017 coal production rates made 4 mln.tons with more than 78 % of total brown coal mining in Sakhalin region; 2017 shipment volume made 4.5 mln.tons.
Currently EMCO employs more than 1500 people and is considered to be the most fast-growing coal company in Sakhalin region.
