The exposition dedicated to the Quaternary - the shortest geological period in the history of Earth, in which modern humans evolved - opens up the Mining Museum's geological collection.

The exhibits showcase the last epoch of glaciation, progressing evolution of the organic world in the Anthropocene, the mammoth fauna of the Pleistocene, and some primitive tools.
