It has been a second year in a row for students of the AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica w Krakowie) at the Mining University. For the second time as well, they have chosen the two week-long international summer school programme ”Modern Technologies of Drilling Wells, Transport and Storage of Oil & Gas.”

Students from Hanoi University in Vietnam and Taiyuan University of Technology (TUT) in China came to the Mining University to participate in the International Summer School programme, named ”Underground Coal Mining”.

Students of the Lebanese International University came to Saint-Petersburg to participate in the summer school program of the Mining University, called ”Geodetic Engineering: Theory and Practice”. On the completion of the education, they shared their impressions and explained why they decided to be trained here for a second year in a row.

Students of the faculty of political science at the University of Bologna went through training at the International Summer School in the Mining University. Italian students came to St. Petersburg to gain new knowledge and participate in the summer school program named ”Social-political Conflicts of Modern Society”.

Top management of Caterpillar paid a visit to St. Petersburg and met with Vladimir Litvinenko, Rector of the Mining University. The key topic of the meeting was linked to activities of the International Competence Centre for Mining-Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO.

The research and educational center will be established at the premises of Saint-Petersburg Mining University.

Russian experts of the Association were granted exclusive rights to certify specialists of extracting and processing enterprises. What is the core of the agreement?
