Today the final list of applicants to the Bachelor’s and Specialist’s degree programs at St. Petersburg Mining University has become known. The numbers for 2021 are strikingly different from those of the previous few years. Applicants submitted more than 33,000 applications to the university’s admissions committee. By comparison, in 2018 there were 16,000, and in 2019 and 2020 - 17,000.

As part of preparations for the new academic year, exercises of the Emergencies Ministry have been held on the premises of St. Petersburg Mining University. Why this time those were held at night?

This year, 213 people from 32 Russian and foreign higher educational institutions took part in them.

On the territory of the three academic buildings and nine dormitories of Mining University, there are 51 bins for plastic, glass, and paper.

Mining University created all the conditions to increase the number of vaccinated students, but no compulsory vaccination is stipulated.

1910’s Russia-wide Festival of Aeronautics was marred by a tragedy: an aeroplane went to pieces whilst in the sky, and the shocked spectators observed the death of a pilot, all happening right in front of their eyes.
