A joint delegation of Shashin Tatneft and Almetyevsk Oil Institute paid a working visit to Mining University.

This year, the British Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) accredited 27 short-term educational programs of summer schools of St. Petersburg Mining University.

The Rector of St. Petersburg Mining University pointed that the Far North, especially the continental shelf, ”has a huge potential”.

A preliminary agreement on establishing the Centre for Studying Russian Language and Science was made at the working meeting of Vladimir Litvinenko and Ivanka Popović, rectors of St. Petersburg Mining University and the University of Belgrade. The Centre will be set up in one of the faculties of the Serbia-based university. In an interview for Forpost Press, Ivanka Popović, Rector of the University of Belgrade, told about the prospects the new Centre would open up for Serbian students, along with the functions it may serve.

The preliminary agreement about this was reached during the visit of the delegation of the Belgrade University to the City on the Neva.

This year, 213 people from 32 Russian and foreign higher educational institutions took part in them.

Four students of St. Petersburg Mining University have defended their Master’s degree theses under the triple diploma program “Modern methods of development of mineral resources.” Now each of them will become the owner of three certificates of higher education at once: from the Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany), the Leoben Mining University (Austria), and their alma mater.
