When it comes to this country, then, along with its ancient history and the biblical Mount Ararat, first of all comes to mind the world-famous cognac and the love of the nation for chess. However, first of all, Armenia has an exceptionally strong higher school.

One of the trendiest topics today in the concepts of the coming world order is alternative energy sources and, as the flagship of this trend, hydrogen energy. For the sake of making way for new types of energy carriers, Europe is even planning to impose a special tax on goods that emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere during their production. If this idea is implemented, Russian exporters will lose between 3 and 4.8 billion dollars a year. The Russian Ministry of Energy, which has prepared a roadmap for the development of hydrogen energy in Russia, is also on track.

It was 16 years ago when the Forum-Contest ”Topical Issues of Rational Use of Natural Resources” was held by the Mining University for the first time. This year, the forum moved online, which, however, positively impacted both the number of contestants and the number of viewers.

On Thursday, July 9, the University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), located in Xuzhou, received the status of a peer university of the International Competence Center for Mining Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO. The signing ceremony was held online. The ceremony was attended by Vladimir Litvinenko, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Competence Center, Song Xuefeng, President of the China University of Mining and Technology, and Kirill Molodtsov, Assistant to the Head of the Administration of the RF President.

Between January and May this year, the Republic of Azerbaijan exported 13.8 million tons of oil, which exceeds 70% of the country’s export revenues and roughly equals $5 billion. Mineral resources are the foundation of the Azerbaijani economy. In fact, hydrocarbons are one of the few expert products of the Republic.
