The past academic year at St. Petersburg Mining University, which is currently implementing a pilot project to improve the system of engineering education according to the decree of the President of Russia, has aroused great interest among academics.

The opening ceremony of the summer school, the program of which was created specifically for guests from Xuzhou, was attended by the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in the city on the Neva, Mr. Luo Zhanhui.

They particularly expressed how the host university managed to find the optimal combination of lectures, laboratory work, practical visits to production facilities and excursion programs.

The internship season at industrial enterprises has ended at the St. Petersburg Mining University of Empress Catherine II. This year, many Belarusian companies, among others, have opened their doors to students of the oldest technical university in Russia. In particular, BELAZ, Minsk Tractor Plant and Belaruskali, one of the largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers.
