A presentation of RN-Yuganskneftegaz took place in the conference hall of Mining University. This is an annual meeting of Rosneft's main production division’s representatives with university students who were told about the company’s development plans and career prospects for young engineers.
With the account of the specializations demanded by the company, senior students of the following fields of training attended the meeting: “Oil and Gas Business”, “Technological Machines and Equipment”, “Electrical Power and Electrical Engineering”, “Applied Geology”. Among them were graduates of Rosneft classes, so-called “employer-sponsored students” along with other students interested in internships, jobs, and careers with the Company. More than 120 people participated in the event.
"We have a long and fruitful cooperation with the Mining University. Every year its first-year students become graduates of specialized high school Rosneft-sponsored classes. This is the initial stage of the "School-University-Enterprise" training system, which is aimed to solve the problem of the lack of qualified engineers in the mineral sector of the country. Besides, Mining University is the leader among our partner universities in terms of the number of graduates we hire. About 20% of the total number of employed young specialists graduate from Mining University, which certainly speaks about the level of education and its evaluation by the employer," says Nikolai Nesterov, Leading Specialist of the Youth Policy Department at RN-Yuganskneftegaz.
As a reminder, the oldest higher technical school in the country regularly holds presentations and recruiting meetings with the largest natural resources companies in the country. Such a system allows young people to get acquainted with specific industry players during their studies and decide on their future job.
