The company is also planning to take part in the implementation of a pilot project to modernize the country's higher education system, which is currently being implemented in Russia's first technical university.

Vladimir Litvinenko, Rector of Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University, held a working meeting with Alexey Kashayev, General Director of Systeme Electric (ex-Schneider), during which the parties discussed the prospects of developing partnership relations. In particular, the guests expressed their willingness to re-equip the classrooms and laboratories where classes related to energy efficiency, automation of energy and technological processes, as well as energy management are held.

Vladimir Litvinenko spoke about the process of improving the system of personnel training for the national economy, which is now in full swing at Mining University on the instructions of President Vladimir Putin. One of the main objectives of this work, he named the increase in the duration of practical training, and, most importantly, the growth of their quality level.

"In order for our graduates to adapt to their new workplace as quickly as possible, they need to get all the necessary practical skills at the training stage. We are talking not only about additional weeks and months at the enterprises as trainees, but also about creating conditions for real familiarization with the technological process, its economics and so on. For this purpose, special training and production clusters have been created on the basis of a number of companies acting as our partners, where students can obtain the relevant competencies, including working on certain equipment independently, under the supervision of experienced mentors. We are undoubtedly interested in expanding the list of such sites," emphasized Vladimir Litvinenko.

Alexey Kashayev expressed interest in this project and said that Systeme Electric is ready to develop partnership relations with Mining University in a number of areas. Among them is the supply of additional hardware complexes and other devices, as well as software necessary for the creation of a modern specialized Competence Center. He specified that the company will ensure the improvement of the infrastructure at its own expense.

As for the creation of conditions for students to undergo familiarization and production practices, one of the Systeme Electric plants located near St. Petersburg is already ready to accept up to 30 people at its site. In the future, their number may be significantly increased, including by re-equipping the existing classrooms and laboratories of the university, on the basis of which the invited specialists of the Russian company will also be able to conduct internships. The students will be introduced to advanced products and solutions for homes and industries, as well as applications and services to improve energy efficiency.

"We are confident that the introduction of world-class developments can help enterprises of the mineral resources and fuel and energy complexes to optimize technological processes and significantly increase their profitability due to this. It is equally important to improve the quality level of personnel training, those who are directly involved in energy management, data collection and interpretation, and the creation of conditions for improving the efficiency of energy consumption. That is why we welcome the efforts of the Mining University management aimed at improving the system of higher education and are ready to contribute to the implementation of the pilot project, which you are currently implementing," Alexey Kashayev addressed Vladimir Litvinenko.

The parties have already drawn up a roadmap for the next 6 years. In addition to improving the quality of personnel training and creating an advanced Center of Competence, it involves joint scientific research, as well as the creation of a system of continuing education and advanced training for current employees of companies and enterprises whose activities are related to the generation, transmission and use of electrical energy. This is one of the necessary conditions for the innovative development of the national economy.
