They particularly expressed how the host university managed to find the optimal combination of lectures, laboratory work, practical visits to production facilities and excursion programs.

The internship season at industrial enterprises has ended at the St. Petersburg Mining University of Empress Catherine II. This year, many Belarusian companies, among others, have opened their doors to students of the oldest technical university in Russia. In particular, BELAZ, Minsk Tractor Plant and Belaruskali, one of the largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers.

We are talking about both scientific partnership and joint projects in the field of personnel training. On Friday, July 19, a delegation of the subsidiary of CNPC JiChai Power, the largest oil and gas corporation in China, headed by CEO Miao Yun, arrived at the Empress Catherine II St. Petersburg Mining University on a working visit. Its specialists are engaged in the production of energy equipment used in the development of hydrocarbon deposits.

The parties agreed to establish joint scientific, educational and research centers, as well as exchanges of students and teachers

As you know, the pilot project to improve the higher education system, which is currently being implemented within the walls of the first technical university of Russia, is based on a sharp increase in the time allowed to master fundamental knowledge and gain practical work experience in production. The upgraded curricula, in particular, assume that the first internship is mandatory at the end of the second semester.
