This year the Mining University organizes International Summer Schools for the first time. Students, graduates and young researchers, as well as high school students, who have an interest in mining and engineering, from Russian and overseas universities are welcome to attend the courses.
International Summer Schools of Mining University is a unique opportunity to get inside the industry. The Mining University organizes 26 Summer schools programs in such areas as «Geology of the north-west of the Russian plate», «Underground mining of coal deposits», «Complex processing of mineral raw materials», «The stone in the architecture of St. Petersburg» and many other. The deadline for applications is June 20.
Summer schools will work in St. Petersburg on the basis of three campuses of the Mining University. Each school focuses on a certain field of engineering and includes lectures, seminars and master-classes of leading professors of the university.
Some of the programs include tours to Northern Ladoga Lake and educational bases in Leningrad Region. One of the schools will be held from July 16 to 26 in Crimea.
Delegations from the Technological University of Lanzhou (China), Madrid Polytechnic University, Freiberg Mining Academy, AGH University and several other universities have already registered as participants.
