Lanzhou Technological University’s students have started their education in the summer school of the Mining University. As a part of educational programme, students from China will attend a course of lectures. They will also participate in workshop sessions and practical studies. The whole range of courses has a common topic «Innovations and development outlook in mining machinery manufacturing and electrical engineering».
As Vyacheslav Maksarov, the dean of electrical engineering department explains - «the study curriculum was specifically designed for the summer school, and it is quite intensive. We want the scholars to learn about new research areas, which are of special interest to us here. At the workshops we will discuss issues related to extracting turf, transportation of loose materials, technologies used for constructing floating roads as well as many others. Students will have an opportunity to take a part at interactive classes, work at CNC machines and perform the calculation of cable-belt conveyor».
During the time spent at the oldest technical university of our country, students will also visit a number of core businesses, such as «Mehanobr-Technica», «Lazerny centre», «Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus», «Electroapparat».
«Education settings at Chinese and Russian institutions differ a lot. It seems quite interesting to compare them, learn something new and in the same time improve my own knowledge. I also have plans for future cooperation with partners from the Mining University on the subject of my thesis», - said Yue Nian Xi, a student of the Technological university.
This year the set of courses at mechanic and material engineering will be the last one at the international summer school. As a recap, throughout this season representatives of the Lebanese International University at Beirut, Kraków ore mining and smelting academy and Freiberg mining academy – all went through internship at the premises of the Mining University.
