The semifinalists of the CASE-IN Engineering Championship from St. Petersburg Mining University have been announced. Eight teams made it to this round, including repeated winners of previous international competitions held under the auspices of the “Reliable Change” fund, the “WeWatt” team.

As organizers noticed, this year 17 leading Russian companies are acting as partners of the tournament. Their representatives are not only members of the jury and assess the level of participants' presentations, but also provide an opportunity to view talented young people, who plan to connect their future with the fuel and energy complex.

A special feature of the current championship was the increase in the number of nominations due to the new “Digital Atom” area. The case for it was prepared by Rosatom experts, who focused on the problem of adaptation of new employees in the company. What solutions can speed up this process and make it less painful for the newcomer?

The Mining University “Generation 4.0” team proposed as one of the solutions the project of the corporate portal - an analog of a personal account. With its help, young specialists can get acquainted with their colleagues, clarify the nuances of loyalty programs, receive information on cultural and leisure events, and increase the effectiveness of communication with their superiors.

“At the defense, we presented a software-implemented prototype of a portal with convenient navigation, which can be integrated into the company's existing information system. The jury especially noted the well-calculated economics of the project and the originality of the solution, which allowed us to pass to the semi-final,” said the captain of “Generation 4.0”, a fifth-year student Antonina Stoyanova.

Next week the organizers will decide on the dates and format of the semifinals. The previous stage in connection with all the understandable events took place online.
