On May 14, a concert dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in the Gorny IFC. It was attended by creative groups of the university, in particular the THEATRE PROJECT, the Montem Choir, the Stanitsa Cossack Ensemble, and other talented students.
As noted by members of the Council of Veterans, who were present at the performance as spectators, such events are very important. After all, they allow you to keep the historical memory, without which it is impossible to look at tomorrow with confidence.
“Today we see numerous attempts to rewrite our heroic history. To belittle the contribution of our country to the defeat of fascism, to revise the results of World War II. But, no matter how much our current geopolitical opponents might want to, we must not forget the feat of the people who 76 years ago restored peace and order throughout Europe. The memory about it is kept alive also thanks to such concerts,” the chairman of the Council of Veterans Andrey Batalov emphasized.
Many participants of the gala evening have been singing, dancing or playing musical instruments on the platform of the Mountain University for a long time. Others came together quite recently. For example, the Cossack ensemble "Stanitsa" was created just three months ago. As the artists say, in order to "show all the breadth and beauty of the Russian soul.
