This year, 213 people from 32 Russian and foreign higher educational institutions took part in them. Specifically for them, the St. Petersburg university prepared and passed international accreditation of educational programs in such areas of training as "Digital Mining Production", "Petroleum Practical Engineering", "Smart Energy Efficient House" and a number of others.
The first summer schools were held at Mining University in 2018. At that time, mostly foreign students from Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Lebanon, and many other countries came to St. Petersburg. Now the composition of students has changed, they are primarily representatives of the Nedra consortium, which includes domestic universities that produce personnel for the mineral sector.
"They teach very well here, there are qualified teachers, and there are excellent dormitories. Communication takes place exclusively in English, which is very important. We learned a lot of interesting things. This is a very good experience for me, this is the first time I came to St. Petersburg, to such a summer school and I hope to come back here again," shared his impressions a student of Samara Technical University, a participant in the summer school "Business ethics and effective foreign language communication" Kirill Parfenov.
It should be noted that all the educational programs included lectures and practical classes, masterclasses and training sessions, excursions and cultural events, as well as visits to the operating enterprises of partner companies, such as "Metrostroy", Vyborg Mining Department, Zeppelin Rusland, and many others. St. Petersburg Mining University provided its guests with the most modern infrastructure. In particular, at specialized training and research centres that were created together with such companies as BP, Total, Schneider Electric, Orica, Siemens, Caterpillar, and others.
