The first-year students’ meeting at the oldest higher technical school in Russia will open on September, 1, at 10 a.m.
The place of the event is conventional: Lieutenant Schmidt quay, in front of the main entrance to the university. Rector Vladimir Litvinenko, prominent graduates of the University, and its partners will congratulate students on Knowledge Day and extend wishes of good luck in their studies Among the wellwishers will be, in particular, Andrey Guryev, head of PhosAgro; Sergey Gustov, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Director-General; Sergey Serdyukov, former technical director of Nord Stream 2 AG, expert of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation; Andrey Maximov, chairman of the science and higher school committee of Saint Petersburg administration and other honourable guests.
“The meeting will be held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements that are established in the region. We ask students to use personal protective equipment,” said the vice-rector for educational activities Dmitry Petrakov.
Let us recall that earlier Rector Vladimir Litvinenko said that the educational process at the university will be carried out in the full-time form. Even though vaccination against COVID-19 is not a prerequisite for admission to study, students are recommended to “ensure the availability of appropriate certificates, medical certificates of antibodies or contraindications to vaccination.”
