He graduated with honours from Russia's oldest technical university in 1967.
On Sunday, October 3, Rudolf Rozar, a graduate of St. Petersburg Mining University, celebrated his 80th birthday. He was the group leader, deputy secretary of the Komsomol, and chairman of the student scientific society of the Mining Faculty, and was involved in social work.
Before entering Russia's oldest technical institution, the jubilee studied at the Chita Mining Technical School and the Novosibirsk Electro-Technical Institute. There he mastered such specialities as scraper operator, electric locomotive driver, and fixer, which later came in handy in his professional career.
“I participated in the design of the Churemukhovskaya-Glubokaya, Kalinskaya-Glubokaya, Novo-Kalinskaya, Churemukhovskaya and Kalinskaya mines located in Severouralsk. He was engaged in the development of uranium mines in difficult mining and hydrological conditions. Since 1973 I have worked as the head of the Muruntau gold mine. And from 1976 to 1980, took part in the design, construction, and mining of the uranium mine of the Zheltovodninskiy combine in Ukraine,” said the jubilee.
After retirement, Rudolf Rozar worked at nuclear power plants. First in Pripyat, where he participated in the elimination of consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster in April 1986. And then he continued at the Ignalina NPP in Lithuania.
The Rector’s Office and the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Mines wish Rudolf Rozar happiness, health, and long life.
