This summer Saint- Petersburg Mining University, the oldest higher technical institution in Russia, will once again open its doors for international students.
We provide you with a choice of 38 unique short-term summer school programmes. The list of the programmes is characterized by the wide range of different directions: Mining, Oil & Gas, Mechanical Engineering, Rock Mechanics, Land Surveying, Raw Materials Processing, Geoecology, Economics, IT etc.
There are so many different programmes that it is easy to get lost in them. For this reason, we have prepared for you a special selection of articles about our school programmes. Follow our series and you will find out everything you need to know to make a right choice.
The first programme you get yourself familiar with is “Modern technologies of drilling wells, transport and storage of oil & gas”. This programme was developed by professors of departments of drilling wells, transport and storage of oil & gas, development of oil and gas fields.
As for the programme itself, the course of lectures and the master classes are devoted to various areas of well-drilling and development of oil and gas fields. Summer School’s participants get to know about drilling equipment and tools, drilling rigs for oil and gas wells, technologies of directional drilling, technologies of development of oil and gas fields, experience of a construction of transport systems of oil and gas and much more.
On a practical training our students learn how to develop a compound of drilling mud for particular conditions, to make drilling and completion of the well on the well-drilling simulator and also to get acquainted with various drilling rigs on the field and to try as the driller.
In addition to the main program you will also be able to visit leading companies of St. Petersburg on production of drilling equipment and tool: "Mining group "EZTAB", "Drilling Technologies Factory", etc.
